CONSTRUCTIVE in cooperation with the international construction team at law firm Howard Kennedy LLP, invites you to an introductory webinar on the FIDIC forms of contract.

FIDIC contracts are widely used in construction and infrastructure projects around the world. They provide a structured framework for defining the roles, responsibilities and obligations of the parties, as well as for allocating project risks. However, selecting and applying the appropriate FIDIC form requires a clear understanding of the purpose, structure and key differences between the various contracts.

During this one-hour webinar, experts from Howard Kennedy LLP will provide an accessible introduction to the FIDIC Rainbow Suite, focusing on the 1999 editions and the developments introduced in the 2017 editions and their 2022 reprints.

The webinar will cover:

  • an overview of the FIDIC Rainbow Suite 1999;
  • the main FIDIC forms of contract and their intended areas of application;
  • common features and principles across the FIDIC contracts;
  • the allocation of risk between the Employer and the Contractor;
  • key differences between the 1999 and 2017 editions, including the 2022 reprints;
  • practical considerations when selecting the most appropriate FIDIC form for a project.

The webinar will be relevant to employers, contractors, engineers, project managers, lawyers, procurement professionals and other specialists involved in construction and infrastructure projects.

*No previous experience with FIDIC contracts is required to attend.

Apply the knowledge gained

It is not enough to identify the problems or to propose theoretical solutions. To be valuable, the knowledge and experience gained must be put to good use in designing quality projects, making efficient use of available resources and contributing to positive change in the industry.
